It's time to sell my raco indy.
The car it self is in verry good shape,all the servo's are in working order and it runs like a champ! it only has 2 minor isues;
just like the most raco's also these rear tires are dry rotted, and there are some screws missing (the previous owner forgot to ship them with the car) this size is hard to find here because we only use Metric thread over here.
the guy i purchased it from told me he strored it on his attic for 20-25 years. when it was new he only let the engine run a few times but never driven it.
the body has few minor scratches except the nose piece has e few more, pure from moving the car around.
i have taken the complete engine apart because the air filter was dry rotted and pieces of it were lying on the piston.
i cleaned the whole egine out and to be sure i replaced all the gaskets,crankshaft bearings/seals and also put new membranes on the inside of the carburettor. it only need 2/3 pulls and it runs.
a few days ago i send the same pictures to a member of this forum and asked him to estimate the value of this car.
He told me it's worth up to around 3500.- but feel free to make me a offer.
If you have any questions or willing to make me a (fair) offer please contact me by email : daan_koster@live.nl
The car is lokated in the Netherlands. i have no problem to ship it to the U.S. and willing to pay half the shipping cost when a good offer is made.
Kind regards,
Daan koster
