with all this talk about monster trucks, i decided to hit the garage and pull a couple out. Dang, i dont think i have touched that qrs truck in 2 years?!? it is filthy! Anyway, yea, i think new era has more tubes and may look a little cooler, but check out this ground clearance. You can see the new era behind the qrs at the low level pic.

Anyway, they are all freaking sweet. Its like saying whats cooler a lamborghini or ferrari. Its all GOOD stuff!!!

cant wait to see more pics of this new member!!

this one is julies favorite. Its funny, i scored this on ebay YEARS ago when quarterscale was not "IN". It had a buy it now price of $1,000. I had to convince julie for an hour that it was a good deal. At that time, it was the most we ever spent on a quarterscale. She did not realize how big it was until it arrived! I drove this thing a lot. One day i drove it to a curb, hit the throttle and kicked up the front wheels, the rear tires then hit the curb and it went into a killer monster truck jump. Well, i was so excited, i forgot to let off the gas, when it landed on the back wheels i heard a big CRACK. Then when i hit the gas it just sat there. I brought it back into the garage to inspect it. Finally noticed the huge crack in the rear end. I took the QC cover off to find i snapped the qc gears and they jammed up tearing the rear into two pieces. I called larry cross (a local guy that at the time had boatloads of qscale parts) and asked him if he had a center section i could buy. He said yea! I went to his house and picked up a replacement for $100!!! Yep, again, at a time when quarterscale was not "IN". Those were good days :) Anyway, moral of the story... Dont drive these things!!! LOL!!!!

That's what I was talking about , wit those huge tires the torque load is tremendous not to mention the weight of em, won't hold together , but they do look awesome, I remember we put a ramp and ran one up the ramp airborne ! When it landed it bounced then tipped over then rolled it was done , and that was a new era the strongest of the bunch , damage critical that chassis is still in a friends garage mangled and rusted

I think the quarter scale community is so small and the cost to do the work now days they would need to produce a big enough run of trucks to make it cost effective and not enough buyers,,,,that would just put them out of business again..Just my opinion.

On another note, I like the Delara GN, but I think these Monster trucks no matter if it be New Era or QRS or Degree, I think are on another level, finding one and finding one for sale is like a needle in a hay stack.
If you want a Delara, you can just contact Cindy, she has chassis for both GN and sprinters, also all the needed parts to make one of your own..
If it's done right, who's to say it's not original?? It would be hard to argue.

But a NE or QRS Monster, where can you find parts, a chassis ect...There's NONE.....Oh wait correction, JayHurikane said his boy has a NE Monster chassis, maybe he would take the Delara in trade! lol
Just kidding Funk, your cars are all top notch, especially the GN..

Anyway I have never seen a 1/4 scale monster truck, so I am very excited to see it in person as soon as Uncle Billy opens that box!
