New 1/4 Scale Need Help

Post by hathcoast »

Just got this and dont know much about it. Info about what I have here and advice on if everything is in correct place. I ordered the throttle servo and new wiring to spruce it up a little, but is there anything else it needs. (have tires and body) Any help would be appreciated!

P.S. WCM chassis and z590m servos is about the extent of what I know.

Definetly WCM, theres no telling what year it is exactly but its fairly new. As long as the chassis is straight you should be fine. Good news is it has a red cap motor. If your planning on racing thats good. Make sure you have the correct restrictor plate for your class. biggest thing is make sure all your hiem joints move freely and there is no bind in the suspension. I take my shocks off and check everything to make sure its free. Dont really know if you need anymore info but if you do just ask.

I looked at the pics alittle closer and see a couple things I missed. It is alittle older than I thought. Maybe pre 04' I think thats when they went with the front bearings in the spindle instead of the hub. Also the rear hoop is not as tall and doesnt have the bars running back to the rear shock tower like the newer cars. Only other thing is it doesnt have the quick change hub for the rear gear which unless you have to borrow a gear is no big deal. you should be good though, thats one good thing about 1/4 scales they dont change every 6 months. You can upgrade as you see fit.
