Exhaust gaskets

What do you guys use for gaskets for thr headers/mufflers? I've been to the auto parts stores and small engine shops and nobody sells the material to make your own...can you just use card board for a gasket or does it have to be a special material?

I was looking at that stuff in the auto parts store...hell if it will work on a race engine then it should be fine on the 35cc....thanks Brad... many years ago I had a chance to move to Australia with the casino I worked for (Showboat)...I didn't go and I've regreted it ever since...I would of lived in Sydney...beautiful city...

What brand engine is it. If its Zenoah then your hobby store should be able to order it.

It's a Quadra 35cc from my Pacesetter...
