heres the last wencar built and toms old racer which i regret letting go,thats tom holding his racer, the red chassis car has real 24kt goldleaf on the rear section . thanks tom for letting me dig it out ya garage

I also have a WEN CAR but I have the previous version of it with a quick change rear. I used to race with Tom Wenzel he was a great racer yeah he tok some people out during a race but didn't everyone at some point . I don't think he did it on purposehe was a very strong compeditor and wanted to win. I would have taken the championship in the Last Series East Event all I had to do was show up and run my car 1 lap and I would have clinched it... but I moved to Florida so I took 2nd the last year it ran. His Quick E Car was fast and being the builder he had alot of tricks up his sleeve. I spent alot of time with Tommy at his shop and learned alot on how to make your car fast and reliable. His Cars were strong and were easy to work on at the track we used to take the cars almost completly apart between rounds and we were all competative...anyone who had one of his cars.

Some Pics Of My WEN CAR the way it was raced back in the day if you raced with me you would remember this car back then and it is still the same other than a little TLC i.e. new gas tank, fuel lines, carb rebuild a fresh set up and a fresh set of tires and maybe radio gear. everything still works just fine other than minor stuff ...I just need to run it and have some fun

just stunning ! thanks for posting i have been lookin for a long time for sum of toms cars, while i was talkin wit him he did mention that he was a a little over competitive
i prize his cars cause hes on the east coast!. we also discussed the points on his cars and why he didi things a certain way. im really lucky to have the last car he built , i let his racer go to a guy who raced wit him
