We have collected most of the pasts for the Funny cars builds, but I am having a
problem finding a 1/4 scale blower scoop. The one that goes on a supercharger, either a 3 hole or single hole scoop style will do.
Thanks!
Ed

Re: Funny Car/ Dragster blower Scoop
We're getting them from the 1/8 scale "Muscle Machines" or Jada Toys RC cars. They have an "oversized" scoop/ supercharger that is just a scooch larger than perfectly true 1/4 scale, but looks pretty darn good anyway... here's a site showing a few of those cars... but your best bet is to scour the 'Bay for used or inoperable ones. There's several styles, the classic 3-hole bugcatcher, the old Hilborn, and a two-hole bugcatcher...

Thanks,
I had looked at those, but all I have seen are the 1/24 scale. I did not know there was a 1/8 scale version!
Take care!

One other option... three 1" PVC 45-degree angles plumbing elbows. glued together like this.
This is what I have on my modern FC.
Actually, I sent this to a Vacuum-molder and had him suck Lexan over it. It was tough to "get out" of the plastic, but it made a nice, one-piece super-lightweight scoop.

A right nice job of it, too... that modern "buzzard" injector is not an easy shape to reproduce. as is the REST of that engine!

Great info,
I think my best bet will be the muscle machines. A few have poped up on EBAY. We will see!
Thanks!
