q-scale 32' Ford Hotrod!

Post by Idealist »

Hello!
Some days ago I found this great forum
and now - after reading through most of your posts -
I decided to post my own topic!
I would like to introduce myself:
I'm a 45 year old professional boat-designer + -builder (shipwright) and carpenter from Vienna/Austria. Means, 28 years of experience by now! -
___________________________________________________________
As I've been into rc-car-racing for 30 years + also, I decided to design and build my own 1:4 car this year.
I have done an intense internet research about q-scale cars then and had to find out that NEW ERA is unfortunately out of production. -
I would have loved their Hotrod! -
Anyway - I always wanted to build the body of that car by myself! -
As a shipwright, I am also trained in professional plug- and mould-making. -
Now I would like to know, how many of YOU - all the members of this forum - could have an interest in such a 1:4 Hotrod body!
Hopefully I don't ask for too much now -...-
Untill now I haven't decided about the best chassis for that car yet -
it could be a RACO or anything else - or maybe a 2nd-hand NEWERA-model in good condition, which somebody would be willing to sell to me??? -
I'm open for all suggestions from YOU -
and I'm hoping for a lot of answers, tipps and offers.
Best wishes, Ernst Zemann
I'm 45 years by now - but not grown up yet - the toys are simply becoming more expensive!

Hello! -
This looks GREAT! -
Just as I wanted /expected it! -
I would like to get some dimensions of that body:
- actual length of this body
- height of it
- width of it
WEIGHT - as it is on these potos
- and - very important:
-> Wheelbase
What overall dimension do these wheels have -
(and what's their prize)
For what prize are you willing to sell it?
Looking forward to get these datas! -
Best Wishes, Ernst Zemann
