Yes, I am realy looking forward to see the final car.
I hope they do not use these Yankee rims. They do not fit in my oppinion.

The concept is not very typical for Yankee. I think Laurent is doing a great Job...

Very exciting news and Laurent has the means to make this happen, I love the engine and drive line configuration. Fingers crossed on this one. One thing I know for sure is that Yankee won't force the buyer to take out a second mortgage to own one.

hello , happy to see yours posts ! yes it is a really excitting project for me , i love steel frame and this project is totally different compared to our other productions.
actually the prototype uses a fiber body ( i think we could made some others) but ultimately the body will be in ABS.

Laurent you need to make an aluminum rim to fit most if not all the Yankee cars. I will definitely be purchasing the Cobra when available.

It might be difficult to make an Aluminium rim that fits all the Yankee cars.
I remember these hubcaps they once sold for Yankee rims.
A smart solution to adapt different designs...

Let me share a humble project I did about 8 years ago, This might work on other Yankee cars but I did this for my Turbo porsche with the impax chassis. I took the original wheel and removed the brass center adapter, filed it down to fit the standard hub with set screw (no key way type) Photos explain it better. Once the brass adapter is fit, the factor would be the depth of the inner rim to clear the control arms and fit under the lip of the fender. Aluminum rims will take any car from ordinary to extraordinary.

Laurent:

Good idea for wheels!

When will the new Yankee Cobra be available (approximately) for purchase?
