Aluminum Polishing
Aluminum Polishing
Just curious if anyone has any experience polishing ¼ scale parts with a vibration/tumble polisher? Does it work? If so any recommendations on what type of media to use?

Re: Aluminum Polishing
Sonny,
Tumble poilshing is something I do every day in my profession as a jeweller. I use assorted size stainless steel shot to polish silver and gold. I haven't tried tumbling aluminum, however I'm certain it would polish just as good as silver does, as it is a soft metal. Can't try it at the moment as my tumbler died recently....shouldn't complain thought ..the poor little bugger can run 8 to 10 hour days. Tumbling is a slow process.
